SAPHIRE Software Limits

The purpose of this area is to provide details as to the hardware requirements and software limitations of the SAPHIRE software.

Item IRRAS for DOS SAPHIRE for Windows
Hardware requirements The DOS version of IRRAS will operate on an Intel 80386 (or higher) PC with 4 Mbytes of free extended RAM. The hard drive requirement is approximately 50 Mbytes free, but varies depending on the complexity of the database(s) in use. Version 3.3 (or higher) of DOS is required. A math coprocessor in not required. A mouse is not necessary but is recommended. A VGA monitor (or better) is recommended. The Windows version of SAPHIRE will operate on an Intel 80386 (or higher) PC with 8 Mbytes of RAM (additional memory will decrease the analysis time) for Windows 95 and 16 Mbytes of RAM for Windows NT. The hard drive requirement is approximately 50 Mbytes free. Windows 95 or Windows NT is required to run SAPHIRE for Windows since the software is compiled as a 32-bit executable. A mouse is necessary. A VGA monitor (or better) is recommended.
